美国专利分案再分案的疑惑

母案：US10/500249 （PCT filed Dec.27,2002, PCT No.PCT/JP02/13766） 2004.11.3进入US，2008.1.22放弃，优先权JP2001-398545。
分案1：US11/981181 （Division of application No.10/500249，filed as application NO.PCT/JP02/13766 on Dec.27.2002,now abandant.）
2007.10.31申请，2011.3.22授权，优先权JP2001-398545。
分案2：US13/020500（Division of application No.11/981181，filed on Oct.31,2007,now Pat.No.7910340,which is a division of Division of application No.10/500249,filed as application NO.PCT/JP02/13766 on Dec.27.2002,now abandant. ）
2011.2.3申请，2016.4.19授权，优先权JP2001-398545。
分案3：US15/076025（Division of application No.13/020500，filed on Feb3,2011.now pat.No.9315839，which is a division of application No.11/981181，filed on Oct.31,2007,now Pat.No.7910340,which is a division of application No.10/500249,filed as application NO.PCT/JP02/13766 on Dec.27.2002,now abandant.）
2016.3.21申请，在审，优先权JP2001-398545。
总结：分案1在母案放弃之前提出，分案2在分案1授权之前提出，分案3在分案2授权之前提出，3个分案均享有母案的优先权。
疑惑：
1、美国的分案申请提出的期限在母案未决之时这个我理解，但是分案的分案提出期限在上一个分案未决之时我就不明白了，不应该是按母案的期限么？像上面的几个分案发分法，都可以无期限地分下去了，有没有限制分案的次数，最多可以分几次呢？
2、美国专利法第121条规定：分案申请可享有原申请案的申请日。这三个分案都授权的话保护期限是从哪个申请日开始的？如果是从母案的国际申请日2002.11.27开始算，无论有几个分案，授权后都是2022.11.27到期，分案的意义又在哪呢？
3、分案1享有母案的优先权，分案2享有分案1的优先权，以此类推，到2016年申请的分案3 ，这都十几年过去了，优先权还是JP2001-398545，那么说来，分案的审查过程评价新颖性的时候现有技术还是按优选权日来的？
跪求各位大牛解析一下，在网上查了很久都没有查到美国分案再分案的相关规定。

An application for patent for an invention disclosed in the manner provided by section 112(a) (other than the requirement to disclose the best mode) in an application previously filed in the United States, or as provided by section 363 , which is filed by an inventor or inventors named in the previously filed application shall have the same effect, as to such invention, as though filed on the date of the prior application, if filed before the patenting or abandonment of or termination of proceedings on the first application or on an application similarly entitled to the benefit of the filing date of the first application and if it contains or is amended to contain a specific reference to the earlier filed application.

分案（division）和续案（continuation）的新颖性评价按优先权日来，部分续案（CIP）的话要看权利要求是否得到优先权支持。
